It’s been a few years since having to make the decision to put Bo asleep despite begging them for me to pay in 2 halves within a month mainly because I was transferring insurers The vet showed no compassion towards Bo there was no “bedside manner”even asking me to pay for the ashes despite me being in flood of tears I did make a complaint and afterwards found out I was in the catchment area of PDSA and could have taken her there Calwetton showed no compassion towards Bo and I felt let down after being a client of theirs for a few years It traumatised me beyond my loss that on moving to Bodmin I refused to take my new dog in the past week to a male vet I relived every moment I have had to inform my new vet what happened and they have been good in allocating me a female vet As I said it has been a few years and all I would say is ask someone to be with you, get a second opinion and if you can’t afford it ask for an alternative I would also say if you not happy with a consultation change vet in the practice In conclusion to put Bo to sleep was over400 of which I paid shortly after, to save her li fe was a further 300

Our dog had a horrible time with an abscess whilst we were on holiday. We were able to easily get an emergency appointment and the team were incredibly welcoming, kind, caring and assiduous at following up with us. Special thanks to Hamish for the excellent care he took of our little dog and for liaising with our local vet on her swab results.

The practice is run very well, the staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful. The vet was efficient and helpful with our dog. Very happy with our visit yesterday.

When on holiday break, our poor dog Basil was taken unwell, but thankfully, the staff at Calweton vets were fantastic. Thank you for all your help he's now doing well. Can't thank you enough. Adrian and Jill

I was needing advice about changes in my dog's behaviours. After discussion and observations she was diagnosed with dementia. I was given guidance on how to support both my dog and myself through this process. Medication was discussed, but I never felt pressurised to purchase. I appreciated the time spent with me explaining and discussing care options. End of life options were mentioned sensitively, but their main concern was ensuring she continued to have a good quality of life.
