I have been going to Luxstowe vetinary practice for 40 years. They have never failed to accommodate or help me. Google wanted a longer review. Not counting the excellent attention, every one is very friendly, amusing and very empathetic when one of my dogs die, in that length of time I have lost a few.

Fantastic help from Luxstowe Vets from Felix and the caring reception team with our dear budgie Georgie on 17th October, 2025. Although not an avian specialist, Felix was wonderful, and, fingers crossed, Georgie is recovering well. Thank you so much ❤️.

An excellent vet, we have been with for more than 20 years. It’s easy to get as appointment, we’re sent reminders and most visits have been friendly and welcoming although on occasions the visit has seemed rushed. There does seem to be a high turnover of vets. At our last visit, annual check and vaccination for our two dogs, on 14/10/25, the vet was very competent, taking time to examine our dogs, suggesting ideas to improve oral health and she showed a genuine caring attitude. I haven't found the vets to be very knowledgeable here. Alternative vet clinics have informed me of Luxstowe giving us incorrect advice, when challenged on it they admitted giving incorrect advice - But the manager then expected us to pay again for another appointment with a different vet in order to rectify the poor service. I live locally but instead choose to drive 30 minutes to an alternative vet clinic where the vets seem to be more knowledgeable, and the whole experience is much more warm and welcoming compared to Luxstowe.
