Amethi Vets Ltd, located in Helston, Cornwall, England, is a veterinary clinic that has earned a solid reputation with a Google Maps rating of 4.6 stars from 186 reviews, indicating a high level of customer satisfaction. This rating is impressive, suggesting that the clinic consistently provides quality service and care.
The reviews reflect a mix of experiences, with a majority highlighting the clinic’s positive aspects. Many clients praise the staff for their professionalism, empathy, and dedication to animal care. For instance, Andrea Vickers appreciated the clinic’s accommodating nature during an urgent situation with her dog while on holiday. Similarly, Mark Barber expressed gratitude for the compassionate support provided over many years for his cats, particularly during difficult times.
On the other hand, there are criticisms that focus mainly on administrative issues rather than the care itself. Zoe May and Eryn Murray's reviews reflect dissatisfaction with administrative processes and customer service, citing issues with billing and communication, which led to stress and frustration.
Despite these criticisms, the clinic’s overall high rating suggests that such negative experiences may be outliers compared to the generally positive feedback on the veterinary services provided. Amethi Vets Ltd appears to be committed to delivering caring and attentive service, evidenced by the positive testimonials from long-term clients.
While specific details about their services and pricing are not mentioned, the clinic's reputation and the number of reviews suggest it is a well-regarded choice for pet owners in the Helston area.

It's a shame I can't give a no star. We left rosemullion after they treated a family members dog so bad. We luckily only ever went for the check ups from our dog being a puppy and being on one of their plans. The first time they ever cut our dogs claws they made her bleed so bad on the first clip, our dog won't let us near her claws now. My dog had a skin tag from about a year old. We asked the vets what it was and they said nothing to worry about, just a skin tag. Well 7 years later we finally get it removed with another vet - when we unfortunately have to do an insurance claim because our poor dog now is having seizures, rosemullion lie to the insurers and say that she has a malicious lump on her side? If it was so bad why did you not offer to remove it 7 years ago when we asked. You claim you love and care for animals but we have not seen any of that in the 7 years we were with you. You didn't even ask why we were leaving. Rudely rang up and asked if we give permission to pass on our details and hung up the phone.

I would give a zero star rating if I could do. After a stressful 6 months of going backwards and forwards in around 30 calls and many emails between the insurance and the practice, the issue lied in an admin error from the vets and them not sending over the correct bill. (Why this took them 6 months to figure out I don’t know, but I was pulling my hair out at the process). Once this had finally settled the outstanding amount after insurance payout was left, which we didn’t know the final amount until this step, and the vets then sent a threatening must pay as the first reminder, to which I replied that I would pay by the end of the month (it was the middle of the month, and had been a heavy one for payments), this was acknowledged, then another threatening email within a week of this, to which I called the practice to clarify I had said I will pay by months end and that was acknowledged, to then recieve yet another threatening must pay within a couple of days of this, so three threatening letters within 2 weeks, to which I emailed expressing how frustrating the process has been and what I had previously clarified, this was not acknowledged or replied to. Then on the 26th of the month an email clearly written by AI of notice of termination of services due to not paying the bill. The process has been extremely stressful and not professional in any manner. As I agreed the final amount was paid by the end of the month, but still no reply to any of my emails. Absolutely shameful practice and really dims the light on the hard work of the vets themselves. Now facing a debt collector for a bill that has now been paid in full, with no emails been replied to, and feeling very bullied by the practice when I had said 3 times I would be paying by the end of the month (which I did). Absolutely appalling customer service and treatment from the admin team.

Provided faultless support for our two cats for nearly 18 years. When the final day came, the entire staff supported us like family. I could not have asked for a more personal, kind and thoughtful service. Really happy to be welcoming our next pets to the same level of care from such wonderful people.
