Beacon Vet Care is described in a recent review as an independent practice. Based on both the structured clinic data and recent owner reports, it appears set up for routine preventive care (vaccinations, spays, injections, weight advice) as well as higher-acuity cases requiring inpatient treatment—one owner describes a dog being hospitalised for 6 days with immune-mediated thrombocytopenia, with overnight care and CT scanning available on site.

We joined Beacon Vet Care this week for our twelve year old CollieX. The vet was very thorough and gave Kizzy her injection. The staff were kind and friendly. Registration was simple. Very good. Maurie Parsons

I cannot express how much I appreciate Beacon VetCare , I am disabled, I could park right outside, the reception and vet were lovely, looking forward to taking my kitten back for her second phase of vaccines , and this week she was spayed I was very impressed by your genuine care , I was amazed at reception remembering my kitten's name . This was at the new Polmear branch , which is only a couple of kilometres for me now Thank you for everything you have done for my Dorothy

Having made the decision to transfer to the new Beacon (Par) practice we attended a welcome appointment. All the staff were so friendly & welcoming, it became an easy decision to make the transfer! Lovely bright premises too, doesn’t really feel like a vets which was a pleasant surprise. Outdoor waiting area is a very nice touch too for pups like ours that are anxious in these situations

We're here on holiday and unfortunately our girl developed a UTI. We didn't know where to go or which vets to trust but someone recommended Beacon VetCare. The care they gave our Ellie was superb. It felt like how a proper vets should be and it was affordable too. If we lived here, we would definitely choose this vets. Thank you so much for helping our Ellie. She's been getting lots of rest and doing much better already.

Our lovely boy, William (Labrador cross), returned home yesterday afternoon after 6 days of being hospitalized with immune-mediated thrombocytopenia. For the first 5 days, it was terrifyingly touch and go: his platelets were 0 and he was continuing to bleed internally. However, after 5 days of the most incredible care from Beacon VetCare, he finally started to respond to the immunosuppressants and turn a corner. It was absolutely heartbreaking waiting to see if he would pull through so I will be forever grateful to the incredible team at Summercourt for their expertise, kindness and compassion (as well as their patience with me making numerous phone calls a day!). I couldn’t have hoped for Will to be in better hands and the fact that things like a CT scan and overnight care are all available on site is amazing. Plus, the incredible Beaconeers pet plan (only £20 a month!) saved us £678 in fees, as well as £126 from 3 consultations last week. They are an independent vet practice offering the best service I’ve ever experienced at the most reasonable prices. If you are a pet owner in Cornwall I recommend them without hesitation and am so deeply grateful they have returned this wonderful ‘love-a-lump’ to us. Thank you so much especially to Chris and Ben, but to all of you for your care and compassion. We will never forget it 🧡

I went for our welcome appointment and everyone is so helpful and friendly, there was a mix up with the location of my appointment but instead of turning me away for a new appointment, they still managed to fit us in, this would not have happened at my old vets, I would have had to make a new appointment so I was very appreciative of this. The summer court location really does need blinds up the windows as it is very uncomfortable for people and pets in the waiting area, the squinting gives you a headache and it gets very warm it is like a greenhouse effect, that's my only issue with the summer court location but it is the easiest place for me to attend, I can't fault the staff they are lovely and very accommodating 💜 So far so good 👍🏼

My friend recommended Beacon vets and said they were lovely caring folk and their services were reasonably priced. I have only been there for the initial Welcome visit. I was told all was well with my lovely boy Smudge but he is a tad overweight! I am now feeding him less food suggested for a smaller cat so am sure this will help. So happy to be at Beacon vets.
