NewquayVet appears set up for both routine appointments and urgent same-day problems: reviews describe dogs being seen quickly for injuries (including an “emergency… within an hour”) as well as planned surgery for an older dog, with the vet talking owners through the decision and recovery. Several owners also mention end-of-life care, including respectful handling of euthanasia and a condolence card sent afterwards. Pricing feedback is mostly positive (“not overly priced” / “reasonable”), but one recent reviewer was unhappy about being charged a consultation fee for what they believed was a pre-agreed second visit for a follow-on anti-inflammatory injection.
Services and situations specifically mentioned in reviews include
Google rating: 4.8 stars from 178 reviews. - Fast help for urgent issues, including being seen within an hour and receiving immediate pain relief and anti-inflammatory treatment.

Disappointed that I'm charged a £44 consultation fee on a pre agreed second visit which was for the second course of an anti inflammatory. Doesn't feel fair. I was expecting to only pay for the injection.

I found the vets to be lovely to deal with very friendly staff. The Vet is super calm, informative and compassionate attributes I feel are essential when dealing with what is a member of the family. My Roxie is 12 and I was worried her under going surgery, the Vet was confident and had no reservations whatsoever keeping Roxie’s quality of life as the focus we proceeded. Everything happened as he said and she is recovering well. The clinic is easily accessible with plenty of parking on site.

Such kindness and care shown to my kittens and everything explained to me clearly. Nothing is too much trouble.

Absolutely fantastic service. They dealt with our dog in an emergency whilst on holiday. Our puppy was seen to and taken car of within an hour. Cannot fault these guys in anyway at all.

The surgery was great when our dog broke his claw whilst visiting Newquay. Steve for comforting, friendly, experienced , and an all-round great vet. The practice had a lovely feel, and they looked after our dog on our three visits there in the week. If you're visiting the area, and need a vet, they are a great choice. I also think the pricing wasn't bad considering the quotes for sedation I got when I returned home (as a benchmark). Our dog has just had his bandage off from our own vet, and they said he's healing well - so pleased to have had Newquay vets help out! Thanks so much!

On our first visit we had to have our dog put to sleep as he was a very poorly boy. The staff were amazing and so caring, and compassionate. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

I have been using Newquay vet since moving to Newquay. Personally love the walk in sessions rather than having to make an appointment. All the vets and nurses I have met have been absolutely lovely and caring. All my cats received quick and efficient diagnosis and treatment. I found the prices to be very reasonable. My most recent visit was very upsetting one, when my cat had to be put to sleep, Steve and the nurse accompanying him were very respectful during this time. We really appreciate the card we received a few days after her passing which we felt was a lovely gesture.
