Highertown Vets

I have been using Highertown Vets now for over 20 years, all of my dogs have been looked after extremely well by them, the team are so professional, caring, knowledgeable, friendly and put you at ease when your best pal is not at their best. Keep up the excellent work Highertown Vets, you are our fur buddies angels 😇.

The care is on the whole good, but they act as if they are on commission and are trying to make extra sales all the time. They are owned by a large company and their prices are ridiculous. For a tube of Isoderm which retails online for £12, I was charged £11 to dispense it and £29.50 for the 5mg tube!!!!! Crazy. I tried to get hold of the company that owns the practice and wnet round in ever decreasing message circles. Also, be aware that the practice does not have any overnight hospital care, so if your pet needs this it has to be transported by you in the evening to another clinic several miles away and then transported back by you the following morning, which, in my view, must be stressful for the already stressed pet.

Superb level of care. Explained everything as they went along. Very caring, they were superb with my dog Freyja. They pointed us in the right directions when required and were very understanding

excellent experience everytime with these vets my dog was very nervous yesterday and messed in the reception room it was embarrassing but the lovely lady receptionist was awesome about it im apologised and explain it was coz he was nervous and dosemt do that normally. she said it's OK I can see he's nervous dear of him. I said I would clean it up but she assured me it wasn't a problem amd cleaned it up for me. the receptionist are always lovely and polite to me.and the vets also are 5 star I wouldn't take my dogs any where else. I trust these vets very much amd I can clearly see they all love animals. would definitely recommend this vets. prices are fair and the quality of care amd treatment to my dogs is 5 star. they take the tine to calm my dogs down get to know them before they examine them. and that for me is very good I like that they do that and care about how nervous my dogs are when they have tp go tp the vets.

Cannot recommend the team at Highertown enough. As first time dog owners it can often feel overwhelming. The level of care and information that we have received has been outstanding. Our puppy loves his visits to the vets and we are always given the warmest of welcomes!
