Doesn’t even deserve one star. Absolutely disgusting behaviour and my partner and I are both still in shock at the way we were treated. We were shouted at, outside in the rain with a car full of 7 puppies, and turned away for their first vaccinations as they had not yet been mircrochipped. This requirement had not been communicated to us at ANY point during our correspondence with the surgery, and was actually not a necessity, just a preference from the vet that she decided to shout at us on arrival….outside in the rain. This was also not explained to us when I checked us in for our appointment with the reception staff, still knowing they had not yet been microchipped I was told that we could sort something out and the vet would be out to treat the puppies shortly. The vet stormed out shouting at us in the car park like we were scum. Apparently I had not told them they were not microchipped, I showed the vet the email that I had sent them the day before to prove her wrong, to then be told I must have sent it to the wrong email address and that I still had not sent it. What more proof does one need??? No apology from her, just more animosity and indignation, and quite frankly it was embarrassing how she was not prepared to apologise and admit she was wrong. Then she changed to maybe it was poor communication on both sides. It wasn’t. I had replied to every single email they had sent me the same day, but this fact did not matter….I was still wrong. She then barked that we had two options, rebook or go somewhere else. Funnily enough we decided to go somewhere else as I would not give this clinic one penny or trust them with the care of our animals based on her appalling behaviour. On leaving I told the vet that her behaviour and treatment of new customers was appalling and she sarcastically relied with “YOU’RE WELCOME!”. We called Pets at Home in St Austell and they moved heaven and earth to see us there and then, understanding how much effort and stress it was to get 7 puppies in a car and out to their first veterinary appointment. Our puppies did NOT need to be microchipped, and the reception team were only too happy to cuddle and look after our pups between inspections. They were incredible, kind and accommodating, everything you would expect from a vets, highlighting even more how disgusting and irrational the behaviour was displayed at Rockview. After randomly having conversations with other customers in the Pets at Home waiting room, it was incredible to hear that they had heard the same horror stories regarding the vets behaviour at Rockview so this was clearly not an isolated incident and actually prompted me to write this review and to make others aware of what we experienced. I only wish that we had known all this before we wasted our time and effort at Rockview, which ultimately only caused additional stress and travel time for our pups first outing, which this vet would have been well aware of when she so callously sent us away. This woman (potentially Fiona?) may well have a veterinary qualification but has absolutely no business being a vet. Do not take your animals here if you care about them, as she does not.
If I could rate this Vets 0, I would. There is no waiting room. All customers and pets are expected to wait outside. If you have not taken your car, you will be stood out waiting in whatever weather conditions. The consultation is had in the carpark infront of all other customers that are waiting, right before your pet is then taken away from you and locked in a room with the vet. When the vet came out to get our pet, she came out practically shouting which frighted our pet and she continued to shout as she spoke to us. The conversation was very patronising, especially when being asked if we have had cats before as if we were doing something wrong. Whilst paying, the vet came back out and asked if we were told what breed our cat was. We replied yes he's a rag-doll. The vet then scuffed and said ‘is that was they told you’ and then walked away. I then asked the receptionist if the vet knew if he wasn’t the breed we thought he was to which the receptionist replied ‘I don’t know, we will just see when he grows up’. We left very disappointed with the service we received and recommend everybody to go elsewhere.
This is a great local vet practice. I have absolute faith and trust in all the staff here. Consultation fees are very reasonable and the knowledge & professionalism of Fiona and her team is excellent. Unfortunately (i assume it is because its a small privately owned surgery) the monthly flee/tick/worm plan is not quite as competitively priced as some other places, also a few years ago one of our dogs had a large wound on his paw and was bleeding profusely, he needed urgent attention but the surgery was "too busy" to see him and turned us away. As a result we now have our dogs registered both at rock view and another larger veterinary practice.

Fiona and her receptionist were brilliant with our little, elderly rescue Hen Bluebell. I could hear Fiona talking to Bluebell as she was taken off to be examined by Fiona. Although we know our little Hen is nearing the end of her life, it is very reassuring to know we have Fiona nearby for further excellent advice and support. Thankyou to all the team

I unfortunately ended up with a very sick dog,I said I'd do anything to help her,get all the money I could and was told I'd never be able to afford it and the best thing to do would be surrender her,I had my hands tied behind my back. Bare in mind,the first phone call we had I made them aware of my finances ,they was okay with it and okay with payment plans.
